NATURAL MATERIALS

Hi guys! Last week I visited Central Slovakian Gallery in Banska Bystrica. There is exhibition called Natural Materials. I do not like exhibitions, because they are usually boring. But this exhibition created by the artists Michal Šimonfy and Richard Loskot was really interesting. So, I decided to write to you something about 6 amazing installations which I saw there.

1. Light Path – Richard Loskot

This installation is created from 6 mirrors and 1 reflector. The author used simple components and knowledge about light reflection. I think, it shows us the way of seeing things.

2. Life of Your Words – Michal Šimonfy

At first, I thought that animation on the wall describes some bacteria. I was wrong! It is artistic software which secretly spy discussions about death and life all around the world. Then it is represented by little green moving lines. When I heard it, I was really surprised. I think, it is warning signal that we should be more careful in chatting with friends.

3. Even a Person is a System – Richard Loskot

This instalation describes every day life. The author showed us basic components of nature which are necessary for our lives - water, air, light, time, sun, sound,...

4. For Two – Michal Šimonfy

This instalation was for two people. When 2 people sit on the chairs and put the sensor on their fingers, the sensor starts to measure their heartbeats. Then machine shows graphs on the table. When hearts of both people hit at the same time, on the table, we can see big circle. This is the way how we can find ”soul mate”.

5. Everything has its Time – Richard Loskot

This installation was created by 1 reflector and 1 rose. It shows us movement of the rose´s shadow. I think, the author wanted to say us somenthing about time.

6. Fruit map – Michal Šimonfy

www.fruitmap.sk is map where people can register fruit trees. This project is really interesting. I recommend it ! :)

CAPE VERDE - BOA VISTA

Hi everyone! I hope, you enjoyed your holiday. Maybe, some of you visited some interesting places like I . I visited CAPE VERDE, specifically one of 10 settled islands called BOA VISTA . I really like this place, so I decided to write to you something about it! J

CAPE VERDE

Cape Verde (Portuguese: Cabo Verde, Creole: Kabu Verdi) lies in Atlantic ocean 450 kilometers from senegal Dakar. Cape verde includes 10 bigger and 8 smaller islands. More than half of inhabitants live on Island called Santiago, where also lies capital city Praia. Cape verde were discovered in 15 century by portuguese. The official language is Portuguese, but inhabitants use Creole language too.

BOA VISTA

Boa vista is the 3th biggest and easternmost Island of Cape verde. In the middle of the island is desert, with white sand. The capital city is Sal Rei (very nice small town). 

Here you can find 60 kilometres of white sandy beach - Ponta Varadinha, Cabo Santa Maria,Praia de Cheva, Estoril and also one of the most beautiful beach called SANTA MONICA

Inhabitants of Boa Vista. Here, people are very kind, talkative and hard-working.

On the east coast you can see the endangered species of turtles Caretta. They are here under the strict supervision of the Defender.

Hi guys! I want to write you something about my favourite singer - Justin Timberlake.

His full nam is Justin Randall Timberlake. He was born on the 31 of January 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He is an American pop singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer and actor. He has 6 Grammy Awards, 1 Emma Award, seven MTV Awards VideoMusic. He became famous as singer in boys ' groups' N Sync, whose start financed by Lou Pearlman (producer Backstreet Boys). He released his first solo album Justified in 2002. Around the world, it has sold more than 7 million copies.

Ice Hockey World Championship SLOVAKIA – GERMANY

Hi  guys!!I am sorry that I did not write to you something about ice hockey matches in which played SLOVAKIAN TEAM before, but I had problems with my blog. So, I decided to write you about ice hockey match SLOVAKIA - GERMANY. 

On 6 May 2013 played ice hockey match Slovakia and Germany at the World Championships in Helsinki. It was the third match which played Slovakia in the World Cup in 2013. This match was a great success for Slovakia. Slovakia won 3:1. The best Slovakian players in this match were Bližňák, who gave one goal, and Záborský, who gave two goals.

The match started at 3:15 pm. In the 4th minute from the start of the match German player Wolf scored. Condition was 1:0 for Germany. It was not a very good start for Slovakia. Later, in the 33rd minutes Slovak player Bližnák scored. The match was balanced 1:1. But in the 43rd Minute German player Kink scored. In 46th Záborský minutes Slovak players scored. The match was again balanced. Finally in the 53rd minutes played Slovak players Záborský again scored. The overall result of the match was 3:1 for Slovakia.

This match was really hard but big challenge for Slovakian team. It was also  very important for Slovakia. Slovaks have made an important step to advance into quarterfinals. The next few days Slovakia will play with Latvia, Austria, Russia and USA. 

EXHIBITION OF THE WORK OF MÁRIA ČOREJOVÁ

A Conversation Leading Elsewhere

On the exhibition worked also other authors, so it is not her own work. In her paintings often appear motives boats, balloons and airships. I think that the main ideas in the exhibition are irony, mystery, passion and she emphasized differences between old and new world. She used only white and black colour, because she wanted to make contrast.

I did not  visit the exhibition, because I was in Germany during that time. But my classmates visited this exhibition and they really enjoyed it. So, I decided to write to you about it.

Yesterday I saw the movie "VALIDATION" at school and I decidet to write to you something about it.


Hugh Newman - cheerful parking attendant considers his job for more than validate parking. He wants to make all people smile and see them happy. He is telling them how they are great and amazing people. People more visits him because they wants to hear how they are great. Soon, he becomes popular.

But one day he goes to get his driver's license photo taken and he met with a beautiful photographer Victoria. She is always sad. He is trying to make her smile but he doesn’t succeed.  He stop smiling and lose job. Later, when he walks the street, some people ask him him to make a picture. Ha makes them really happy. Then he starts to make a photos and he found his new job as a photographer. He meets a woman on the wheelchair with very hard life but he makes her smile. It was Victoria’s mother. In the end he found out that Victoria makes people smile, just because of him and they make people smile together.

EARTH HOUR

WHAT IS EARTH HOUR? 

- it is a program created by WWT ( WORLD WIDE FUND)

- it is the biggest worldwide event involving the public

- the program started in 2007, when 2.2. million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non.essential lights

- the idea is to get as much people to turn off all there lights for 60 MINUTES

WHAT WE CAN DO? 

- we can trn off the lights of our home

- we can tell people and spread this information so more people can join

TWILIGHT - A book review

Hi , I want to tell you something about my favourite book - Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It is a vampire - romance novel. It is the firs book of the Twilight series. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

It is the story of 17 years old Bella Swan moves from sunny Phoenix to rainy Forks to live with her father Charlie, while her mother Renée travels with her new husband. Bella is seated next to Edward Cullen in class on her first day of school. Later, Edward saves Bella when he instantaneously appears next to her and stops the van with his bare hands.Bella wants to discover how Edward saved her life. Family friend Jacob Black, tells her the local tribal legends that Edward and his family are vampires who drink animal blood rather than human. Over time, Edward and Bella fall in love. The ending is very exciting. Their relationship is affected when James, a tracker vampire, wants to hunt Bella for sport. The Cullens want to distract James by separating Bella and Edward and send Bella to hide in a hotel in Phoenix. There, Bella receives a phone call from James, who claims to be holding her mother captive. Before James can kill her, Edward and the other Cullens rescues her and destroy James, but not before James bites Bella's hand. Edward sucks the poison from her bloodstream and prevents her from becoming a vampire. After returning to Forks, Bella and Edward have school prom and Bella wants to become a vampire but Edward refuses.

I like the book. The author has created an amazing fantasy world. The story is very gripping and exciting. I recommend it. :)

HOW IS MADE BREAD

Bread is made out of wheat.

Wheat is grow up in fields                                              

 Then harvest is cut down

It is transported to mill and 
wheat is separated to grains and chaff



The chopped grains are wrapped to pockets

The pockets are sold to bakeries and
bread is baked by bakers.

And finally we have bread :)

Yesterday I saw the movie “Youth Without Youth” at school and I decided to write to you something about it.

This film is about 70 years old professor of philosophy and languages. His name is Dominic Matei. He moved to Bucurest and he want commit suicide because love of his life is death. He know that his life's work about origin language never won't complete. 

In Bucurest he is struck by lighting. After this accident he became younger. He looks like 40 or 45  years old man. Nazis want experiment on him. He want to avoid nazis and so he travels the world. Later, he met a woman who was also struck by lightning. Dominic found his new love. She was also his key to complete his work. However...

I don´t like this film because I think that is don´t real and frightening. Some part of film don´t give sense. Maybe only for me - I am teenager and I saw better films. If you want you can comment this contribution because I think everyone should create own opinion

There is Fairy Tale Land. It is filled with magic, monters and all of the characters we all know from stories growing up. It's real and so are the people in it. GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming means increase in the average temperature of the oceans and atmosphere on the scale of the entire planet over several years. It started in the 19th century and it still continue. The average temperatures have increased by 0.2 to 0.6 ° C. Especially in the last 25-50 years the global warming considerably contributes human activities, particularly greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide (CO2). A warmer Earth may lead to changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impacts on plants, wildlife, and humans. Warming is expected to be strongest in the Arctic and would be associated with the retreat of glaciers and sea ice.
